Hockey Falls to Berkshire

Berkshire broke open a 2-2 contest against visiting Brunswick with a three-goal run, as the home-standing Bears knocked off the Bruins, 5-3. Despite the setback, Brunswick, ranked eighth in the latest USHR.com weekly prep poll, maintains a strong position to earn a post-season bid in March.

The Bruins (18-6-2) wrap up their regular season with three home games, including rematches against Albany Academy (February 19) and Gunnery (February 21), before completing the regular season against Trinity-Pawling on February 28.

Trailing 2-0 in the first period, Connor Welsh got the Bruins on the board in the final seconds of the frame with an even-strength goal.

Henry Foster tied the game for Brunswick in the opening minutes of the second period.

Berkshire (14-7-2) responded with a pair of goals to close out the second period and tacked on its final goal of the game at 7:53 in the third period for a 5-2 lead.

The Bruins’ Jude Brower made it a two-goal contest on a marker with under three minutes left in the game to cap the scoring.
