Brunswick posted a dominant 6-0 shut-out over Kent on the road on Wednesday. The victory evens the Bruins’ overall record at 2-2-1, while the Lions fall to 3-1-0 on the season. The blanking by Brunswick is the first shut-out win since a 5-0 victory over Northfield Mount Hermon on March 3, 2018.
Coming into the contest, Kent scored 14 goals in three games, but the Brunswick defense anchored by goalie Alexander Rohlf (25 saves) kept the Lions at bay.
The Bruins broke the game wide-open with four goals in the first nine minutes of action. Tallies by Jakub Teply, Matthew McGroarty, James Shannon and a power-play goal by Michael Salandra gave the visitors a commanding 4-0 lead.
In the third period, Salandra netted another goal and set-up the final tally by Erik Anderson for the 6-0 road win.
