Brunswick picked up a fourth-place finish at the Phebe Corckran King Memorial on the waters off of Annapolis, Maryland on Sunday. During the two-day, 18-team event, the Bruins led the way with a combined eight first-place finishes over 36 races.
Competing against teams from New England, Mid-Atlantic and Great Lakes regions, Brunswick finished with 236 points, nine points behind third-place Toms River (N.J.), as a local team, St. Mary’s (Maryland) won the event with 163 points.
In the A Division, William Michels skippered with Carlos Flores in crew for the first 10 races, as Angus Manion crewed the last eight races with Michels at the helm. Over the 18 races in the A Division, Brunswick scored 10 top-five finishes, including five wins, en route to 109 team points.
In the B Division, Leyton Borcherding skippered all 18 races, as Ryan Heinzerling was crew for the first 14 races and Carlos Flores crewed the final four. The B Division entry for the Bruins posted six top-five results, including three wins, totaling 127 team points.
