Brunswick’s Varsity Eight boat finished third at the very competitive Kent Invitational, held at Lake Waramaug on Saturday.
While no times were recorded in the 1V race, Salisbury narrowly beat Kent, as Brunswick was about five seconds off the pace setnby two of the top teams in New England. Local rival Fairfield Prep followed Brunswick by two boat lengths, as Farmington and Simsbury trailed the top four boats.
In other races, the Bruins entry in the 2V race was a distant second, as Brunswick’s 3V boat was fourth.
Up next, the Bruins head to Philadelphia for the two-day Stotesbury Cup Regatta, held on May 17-18.
