Tennis Falls in Epic Battle to Andover

In a four-hour contest at Andover on Saturday, the Big Blue won the sixth and deciding singles match to beat Brunswick, 4-3. With the win, Andover improves to 7-1, while the Bruins drop to 9-2.
 
Brunswick lost the doubles point and fell behind, 1-0.
 
In singles action, Andover went up 2-0 with a win at #6.
 
The Bruins tied the match with victories at #3 and #4 singles. At #3, Ryan Glanville posted a 6-1, 6-2 win, while Lorenzo Gunningham won the third-set tiebreaker to knot the match at 2-2.
 
After falling at #2 singles, Brunswick made it a 3-3 contest, as Ben Powis won a third-set tie-break at #1 singles.
 
In the final match at #5, Edward Nagler split the first two sets to force a tiebreaker to decide the overall match. Down 0-2 in the extra session, Nagler suffered a wrist injury. Nagler played through the physical distress, but fell to his counterpart, 10-8. The final singles win sealed the team win for Andover, 4-3.
