Brunswick picked up another league win, as the Bruins topped Westminster on Saturday, 11-4. The Bruins, currently ranked seventh in the latest Under Armour-Inside Lacrosse national poll, improve to 12-1 overall and 7-0 in NEW-1 action.
Brunswick opened a 3-0 lead after one quarter, as AJ Delgado, Jeffrey Matthews and Christian Ronda scored solo tallies.
In the second quarter, the two teams alternated a pair of tallies, as the Bruins took a 5-2 lead into the half. Cooper Moore netted both Brunswick goals, as Michael Gottlieb assisted on the first of Moore’s scores.
The third quarter saw a similar scoring pattern as the second quarter, as Delgado and Moore accounted for the two tallies by the visitors.
Holding a 7-4 lead in the fourth quarter, the Bruins earned some breathing room with four-straight goals for the 11-4 win. Ronda opened the scoring with a goal off a feed from Blake Burchill. Coulter Mackesy made it a 9-4 contest, as Gottlieb and Tim Saunders added the final two goals of the game.
