Brunswick bested previously unbeaten Taft in a seven-player, 18-hole contest at the Century Country Club in Purchase, N.Y. The Bruins (13-0) won five of seven matches to beat the Rhinos (4-1) on Wednesday.
A single point was awarded to a player for winning a head-to head battle on the front nine, the back nine and posting a lower overall score on the par-71 course.
Connor Belcastro shot a bogey-free round of 68 (three-under par) to lead the Bruins. Charlie Marvin followed with a 69, and Matt Camel finished with a 72. Matty Dzialga carded four birdies en route to his victory, while Bladen Smith notched three birdies in his win.
