Sixth-Ranked Gunnery Tops Bruins

Brunswick lost to Gunnery, ranked sixth in New England, on Friday, 6-1. Following the road loss, the Bruins wrap up their regular season at Trinity-Pawling on Friday, February 22.
 
Six of the seven goals in the game came on special teams, as Gunnery scored four short-handed goals and each squad netted a power-play tally.
 
Gunnery opened the game with the lone even-strength goal less than seven minutes into the first period. The Hilltoppers added consecutive short-handed goals later in the frame for a 3-0 lead, as Brunswick responded with a power-play goal by Henry Foster in the final minute of the period.
 
Leading 3-1, Gunnery netted two more short-handed goals in the second period for a 5-1 advantage.
 
The hosts scored the final goal of the game on a third-period power-play for the 6-1 final.
