'Wick Programmers Excel at Lockheed Martin Code Quest

Brunswick Upper School computer science students had a strong showing on Saturday, February 28, at the 2026 Lockheed Martin Code Quest, a competition that brought together high school teams from across the United States and several other countries.

The team, made up entirely of juniors — Sami Muhtadie, Lucio Costantini, George Wang, and Teddy Hojlo — started in the Novice division. Their performance earned them a "promotion" to the Advanced division, where they placed first. Their final score was 1,290 points.

Lockheed Martin Code Quest is one of the largest high school programming competitions, held each year across 24 sites worldwide, including the US, UK, Poland, Australia, Singapore, and New Zealand. Teams work to solve 20 to 30 coding challenges in Java, Python, C#, or C++, with more than 200 teams participating across all sites.
