Upper School Math Team Wins State Title

Brunswick’s Upper School math team competed in the Connecticut State Math Match on Tuesday and placed first in the small schools division with 103 points.

The event featured 40 qualifying teams competing across small, medium, and large school divisions. Greenwich Academy finished second in the small schools division with 72 points, followed by Hopkins with 70.

Teams in the small and medium divisions consisted of six students, while large school teams included eight. In addition to winning its division, Brunswick outscored all medium school teams and, on a per-student basis, topped all large schools as well.

Individually, Vikram Sarkar delivered a standout performance, earning a perfect score – one of just six students statewide to do so.
