Math Team Wins Harvard-MIT Tournament

Brunswick’s Upper School Math Team earned first place overall at the prestigious Harvard-MIT Math Tournament, held this past weekend at Harvard University. The event featured more than 100 teams and over 1,000 students from across the globe, including participants from California and Shanghai.

In individual results, senior Jack Whitney-Epstein placed second overall, and senior Vikram Sarkar finished eighth, leading Brunswick to the top of an elite international field.

The championship performance followed another strong showing earlier in the week, as the team won Fairfield County Math League (FCML) Match 2. That competition featured a remarkable achievement, with Sohan Javeri ’28, Sarkar, and Whitney-Epstein each earning perfect scores.
