Homecoming 2025: One for the Storybooks

Spectacular fall weather set the stage for a breathtaking Homecoming 2025, as alumni, students, parents, and friends flocked to Edwards Campus for a weekend filled with thrilling athletic contests, joyful connections, and heartfelt reunions.

The weekend kicked off on Friday with a sold-out Alumni Golf Outing at GlenArbor Golf Club, the unofficial start to Homecoming for the past 24 years.

Friday evening brought excitement under the lights of Robert L. Cosby Field. A late-game breakthrough ensured a positive result for ’Wick soccer, as the Bruins battled Hopkins to a 1–1 draw before a full house of cheering fans.

Meanwhile, Mehra Natatorium was buzzing as varsity water polo hosted longtime rival Greenwich High School. With the stands packed and the “Swamp” at max capacity, the Bruins secured a 19–11 victory, completing a thrilling three-game season sweep of the Cardinals.

Later that night, a dazzling fireworks display lit up the sky, officially launching Homecoming Weekend.

Saturday offered activities for every age. The 7th annual Horizons Cars & Coffee event drew enthusiasts to the Lower School in the morning, while Bear Fair — the can’t-miss carnival of the fall — attracted throngs of excited Pre and Lower School boys, along with alumni families, to Burke Field House.

The afternoon featured unforgettable action on Cosby Field as varsity football faced Phillips Exeter Academy. In a nail-biter that went down to the final moments, Brunswick edged Exeter, 44–43, delivering a storybook finish that thrilled spectators with big plays and late-game drama.

Saturday evening saw alumni from class years ending in five and 10 gather at private celebrations across Greenwich. Special milestones included the 50th reunion of the Class of 1975, which welcomed 30 classmates back to campus, and the 25th reunion of the Class of 2000. During the evening’s festivities, Josyl Barchue ’00 was honored with the 2025 Distinguished Alumni Award, celebrated warmly by classmates and friends.
