With nine committed to Division I programs and six signing National Letters of Intent (NLI) to receive full scholarships, Brunswick’s 2024 senior class stands as a testament to hard work, talent, and dedication. Adding to the excitement, three or four additional seniors are on the verge of finalizing their college decisions.
The University of Notre Dame made headlines by welcoming three Brunswick teammates in the same recruiting class — a first for the storied program.
- Matty Augustine, a two-time team captain and Brunswick lifer, is signing his NLI with Notre Dame. A three-time first-team all-league and two-time First-Team All-New England player, Augustine also earned an invitation to the prestigious Army All-American Bowl, cementing his place among the nation’s elite.
- Blake Hebert, senior captain and quarterback, will also head to South Bend. In his lone season at Brunswick, Hebert left an indelible mark, earning Northeast Football Conference Offensive Player of the Year, First-Team All-New England honors, and becoming a finalist for Connecticut Gatorade Player of the Year.
- Ethan Long, a three-time all-league and two-time All-New England honoree, joins Augustine and Hebert at Notre Dame. Long’s consistency and versatility were crucial to the team’s success, earning him his spot in Irish Country.
Additional NLI Signees
- Jaylen Pray, whose football journey began just two years ago, signs with Syracuse University. His rapid development and raw potential caught Syracuse’s attention, offering him the chance to compete at the Division I level.
- Jaylen Noisette is heading to the United States Military Academy at West Point. A four-year contributor to the Bruins, Noisette earned first-team all-league honors as a wide receiver.
- Tyler Georgs, a defensive captain and two-time all-league and All-New England player, signs with Holy Cross. With over 100 tackles this season, Georgs anchored Brunswick’s defense and provided invaluable leadership as its “heart and soul.”
While Ivy League schools don’t participate in the NLI program, Brunswick’s captain EJ Perez will continue his academic and athletic journey at Brown University. A three-time all-league and two-time All-New England player, Perez leave a lasting legacy of consistency and leadership.
Additional Commitments
- Will Graves and Max Tejpaul will walk on at Boston College together, joining the Eagles with hopes of making their mark with former teammates Jadon Lafontant '24, Caden Bowling '24, and Hunter Clark '22.
- Henry Johnson and Arnez Dowe head to Washington and Lee University, continuing their partnership as teammates.
- Sam Barsanti, an offensive lineman who was instrumental in Brunswick’s record-shattering offensive performance this season, has committed to continue his academic and athletic career at Amherst College.
Head Coach Wayne McGillicuddy praised the seniors for their dedication and leadership, noting that their success extends beyond the field.
“This group of young men has set a new standard for what Brunswick football can achieve,” McGillicuddy said. “They’ve worked incredibly hard, and we celebrate not just their athletic accomplishments but also the bright futures ahead of them.”
