Brunswick Triumphs at Invitational Tournament
Brunswick's wrestling team defended the Brunswick Invitational Tournament (B.I.T.) title in 2026. The win was the Bruins' 25th B.I.T. team title in the 51 years that Brunswick has hosted the tournament.
Seventeen different Brunswick wrestlers placed in the top six at their respective weight classes. When the dust settled in Burke Field House, the Bruins had won by 95.5. points.

All four of Brunswick's co-captains made the finals. Jack Degl won for the second year in a row at 165 lb. and is now a five-time B.I.T. placewinner. Nikki Krause, the #1 seed at 190 lb., won his first B.I.T. title.
Alec Harned, a past B.I.T. champion and now four-time placewinner, took second at 150 lb. Michael Marini, last year's heavyweight champion, was also a runner-up.
Fellow senior Travis Wilson came from an unseeded position to earn 4th place at 175 lb. while Jake Greene became a four-time B.I.T. placewinner by taking 5th place at 190 lb. It was a true senior effort as fellow classmates Quinn McGraw and Topher Martinelli combined for three pins, earning team points for Brunswick once again at 144 and 190 lb.
