Bruins Capture FAA Basketball Championship

Brunswick captured the 2025-2026 FAA Championship on Saturday afternoon in Dann Gym in dominant fashion, as the Bruins beat King, 90-61.

The contest was evenly played to start. The two teams traded baskets and the score was tied at 14 all with 8:30 remaining in the first half, until a Bryan Camacho three-point play sparked a furious 17-4 run that included three-point field goals from Rhaki Lum and Brandon Jean. Four minutes later, Brunswick had a 31-18 lead and kept the game out of reach the rest of the way.

Coming out of the break with a 41-25 advantage, the Bruins increased the lead to 20 over the first three minutes of the second half, with a Connor Robinson three-point play and a Jayden Fisher three pointer igniting the crowd. From there, the rout was on.

All 14 Bruins who were dressed saw the floor, with nine of them getting on the scorer's sheet. Lum led the way with a game-high 23 points. Jean added 15 and Robinson had 13, while Camacho and Fisher chipped in 11 each.

Of equal importance to their scoring distribution was the Bruins' relentless defense, commitment to rebounding, and emphasis on pushing the pace – all of which became staples of the team's success in the final weeks of the season.

Brunswick finishes the season with a 16-9 overall record and a perfect 11-0 in FAA league play.
