Real World Math Explorations with Kelly Delane
In this course, students will engage with math problems in real world contexts such as the opening of a Brunswick Spirit Store and the making of the Summer Olympics.

Computer Science

Exploring Coding with Tim Coupe
Join Mr. Coupe to uncover computer coding in greater depth.
    • Materials: Access to a computer (laptop or desktop), the Internet, and an iPad is required.  An iPad may be provided on loan if necessary.

Wick LEGO Masters with Brett Martell
A virtual LEGO building competition in which daily projects will challenge builders in different ways.
    • Materials: This course will only require LEGO pieces. No specific sets or kinds are needed. Creativity is the key.
    • 2-week course June 14 and June 21 10:45a-12:15p
    • For boys entering grades 5, 4 in 2021-22

Space! with Tim Coupe
Continue to explore the wonders of space with Mr. Coupe; we’ll discuss current missions, space companies, rocket design, venturing to the Moon, Mars and beyond.
    • Materials: Simple at home arts and crafts materials will be helpful.

Basic Writing Skills with Suzanne Foyle
Spend two weeks learning the skills of how to write a great paragraph, including strong topic and concluding sentences, adding details, transition words, exciting verbs, hooks, and revising and editing the final piece – helping students understand that organizing, clarifying ideas, and improving grammar and presentation are essential to strong writing.

Sign of the Beaver Book Club with Fiona Collins
Read and discuss an award winning historical fiction novel while working on active reading skills.
    • Materials: The Sign of the Beaver by Elizabeth George Speare

Shiloh Book Club with Kathy Myer
This book club will engage Bruins to have candid conversations about our Character Continuum through the study of the Newbery, Award Winning book, Shiloh.

An Introduction to iMovie with Tim Coupe
Join Mr. Coupe as we learn how to create movies and movie trailers with iMovie.
    • Materials: Access to a recording device (phone or iPad) and an Apple computer (laptop or desktop) is necessary.  Limited loaners will be available.

Fun with Clay! with Gabby Sia
We will explore the creative possibilities of sculpting and painting clay during this two week camp.
    • Materials: 5lbs. Air-dry clay, 1 set of tempera paint cakes, 2 paint brushes (1 large, 1 small), mod podge, basic pottery tool kit

Making a Stop Motion Movie with Deanna Smyers
This class will take the boys through the steps of making a stop motion movie and will end with a premier of their creation!
Materials: You will need to download the Stop Motion Studio App (this app is free). You will also need a trifold poster board to use for a set background.
