About the Team
Under the leadership of head coach Robert Taylor, the Brunswick track and field team has achieved remarkable milestones. Established as a track club in 2004, it gained varsity status in 2009 and constructed its track and field complex in 2018. Since then, the team has emerged as a local powerhouse in the sport, winning six out of seven championships in the FAA. Moreover, it has proven its mettle on a regional level, competing successfully in the New England Division I Prep School Championships in May against some of the country's most established track programs and top athletes.
Most recently, in 2025, the Bruins won the FAA Track & Field Championship with two athletes breaking school records. Several athletes qualified for the New England Championships, setting two school records and one New England record. Eleven athletes were All-FAA, three were All-NEPTSA, and one was honorable mention All-NEPTSA.
Over the years, Brunswick has sent several athletes to colleges to compete in track and field. These schools include Ohio Wesleyan, Amherst, Middlebury, Davidson, and Dartmouth. In addition, several athletes have recently earned national rankings in distance and field events and compete in some of the country’s most competitive events.
The Brunswick track and field team's commitment to hard work, camaraderie, and sportsmanship is unsurpassed. This dedication has not only fostered a culture of excellence but also nurtured each athlete's character, helping him develop empathy, confidence, and resilience. The team's foundation is built on the shoulders of dedicated athletes, but it also welcomes multi-sport athletes who share the same passion for training and excellence.
