Brunswick’s lacrosse program has a storied tradition of lacrosse excellence.
Since joining the New England West 1 (NEW1) Conference in 2006, the most challenging league in the region, the Bruins have won the NEW1 crown six times (2014, 2017, 2018, 2022, 2023, and 2024), while finishing in the top four every season dating back to 2009.
Beyond the difficult conference slate, the Bruins consistently schedule a number of the best regional and nationally ranked teams every season. In 2025, the Bruins went 14-3 overall, finishing the season fifth in the nation.
Since becoming head coach in 2007, David Bruce holds a 246-65 overall record (.79) against one of the most competitive schedules in the country. He was recognized as the Western New England Coach of the Year in 2014 and 2024, and 24 of his players have received All-American accolades during his tenure.
On the national stage, the Bruins have finished in the top-10 ten times (9th in 1998, 8th in 2014, 4th in 2017, 6th in 2018, 10th in 2019, 4th in 2021, 2nd in 2022, 5th in 2023, 2nd in 2024, and 5th in 2025).
Graduation has not stopped numerous Bruins from combining their academic and athletic pursuits at the college level. Former Bruins are found at a number of top college programs, as over 130 Brunswick alumni have played lacrosse collegiately since Bruce became head coach.
