In 17 seasons of Division I play, Brunswick’s hockey program has solidified itself as one of the most competitive programs in New England. Grounded in a commitment to character and player development, the Bruins consistently contend for postseason success while preparing student-athletes for the next level.

Tradition & Postseason Success

• Championship Resume: 12 tournament berths in 17 seasons, highlighted by the 2018 NEPSAC Large School Championship.
• Elite Contender: Earned four bids to the prestigious Elite 8 (2016, 2023, 2024, 2025) and recently secured a sixth consecutive 20-win season.
• Home Ice: All home games are played at Hartong Rink on the Edwards Campus (1252 King Street, Greenwich, CT 06831).

The Brunswick Track Record: College & Pros

Brunswick is a proven launchpad for elite hockey talent, sending players to top-tier NCAA Division I and III institutions, including Harvard, Michigan, Notre Dame, and Yale.

• NHL Draft Picks: Six alumni selected in the NHL Draft, including 1st-rounders Kevin Shattenkirk (Stanley Cup Champion) and Hugh Jessiman, alongside active pros in North America John Hayden, Phil Kemp, and Cooper Moore. Recent graduate Cooper Cleaves '24 was selected in the 3rd round of the 2026 NHL Draft by the Montreal Canadiens and is a sophomore at Dartmouth. 
• Professional Impact: Alumni have excelled internationally. Greg Squires played professionally for over a decade; former Harvard captain Luke Esposito currently competes in the German Hockey League; and Olympian Strauss Mann led Skellefteå to the Swedish Hockey League championship in 2026.
