About the Team
Crew, with its ethos steeped in sportsmanship and teamwork, serves well to match the ideals of the school. Brunswick’s crew program strives to build strong character in each boy on the team while providing a highly competitive rowing experience on the water.
The team boats out of the Falco Rowing Center and trains at the school's own rowing tanks. Brunswick rowers learn to sweep and scull in all classes of boats on Cos Cob Harbor.
In recent years, the Bruins have won medals at the USRowing Youth National Championships (gold in 2024, bronze in 2023), and Brunswick rowers have earned spots on the USA Under 19 National Team in both 2024 and 2025.
This past fall, Brunswick won the Head of the Charles Regatta in the Youth Fours and became the first American school to win the Duncan Cup since 1979. Brunswick has been the top-placing school in their event at that regatta from 2021-present.
In select years, Brunswick sends a crew to race at Henley Royal Regatta. Many Bruins continue their rowing careers at the collegiate level, and some have gone on to represent the United States at the highest levels of the sport.
