Brunswick traveled to Philadelphia and earned a 12–11 win over nationally ranked Episcopal Academy in a tightly contested matchup on Saturday. 

The Bruins fell behind 2–0 early before responding with goals from senior captain Matt Colella and sophomore Hunter Hanford. Episcopal carried a 4–2 lead at the end of the first quarter, but Brunswick found its rhythm in the second.

The Bruins surged in the second quarter, with Hanford leading the way in a standout offensive performance (five goals in all), supported by key goals from sophomores David Giuriceo and Parker Baras. Strong faceoff play from senior Owen Gibbons and steady goaltending from senior Will Connell helped Brunswick take control and build a 9–5 lead at halftime.

Episcopal answered in the second half, gradually cutting into the deficit and eventually tying the game in the fourth quarter. Baras gave Brunswick a late edge with a key goal, but Episcopal responded again to even the score.

With just over four minutes remaining, Giuriceo scored what proved to be the game-winning goal. The Bruins’ defense held firm down the stretch to secure the victory.

Brunswick returns to action Wednesday with a road matchup against Taft.

The Bruins extended their record to 4-0 with a convincing win over Kent on Saturday afternoon.

Tyler Burke was evenly matched at No. 2 singles. After winning a close first set tiebreak, he went down 2-4 in the second set before winning four straight games to secure the match.
