Brunswick’s water polo program continued to make waves on the international scene this summer, as current students and alumni represented the United States across multiple age groups and global competitions. From senior-level world championships to cadet and youth development trips, Bruins played key roles on Team USA rosters in Brazil, Italy, Greece, Croatia, and Serbia.

Ryan Ohl ’24
Former Brunswick captain and All-American Ryan Ohl ’24, now a sophomore at Stanford, had a breakout summer with back-to-back appearances on Team USA's Junior and Senior National Teams alongside his brother and former Bruin Connor Ohl. In July, Ohl helped lead the U.S. Men's Junior National Team to a historic silver medal at the U20 World Championships in Zagreb, Croatia – the best finish ever for a USA men’s water polo team at any age group in World Championship play. Just weeks later, Ohl was named to the U.S. Senior National Team roster for the 2025 World Championships in Singapore, joining a veteran group of former Olympians. Team USA opened the tournament with wins over Canada, Brazil, and host nation Singapore before falling in the quarterfinals to Serbia and finishing eighth overall. Ohl's performances at both events mark him as one of the top rising talents in American water polo.

Callum Walker ’26, Peter Saunders ’27, & Jackson Shaw ’28
Three current Bruins – Callum Walker, Jackson Shaw, and Peter Saunders – spent a week and a half in Genoa, Italy, training with USA National Youth Team in preparation for the various 2026 World Championships. Based out of the Sori pool on the Ligurian coast, the boys scrimmaged daily against Italy's U17 club squad and competed in a four-day tournament that featured split rosters from both the Italian and American national teams. Team USA’s squads finished second and third, highlighting the depth of talent in the American pipeline.

JR Lindberg ’26 & Martin Robredo ’27
JR Lindberg and Martin Robredo, both Brunswick goalies, traveled to Belgrade, Serbia, with the Futures Cadet and Youth Regionals USA Team for a week of high-level training and international experience. While in Serbia, Lindberg and his teammates scrimmaged VK Partizan's U19 squad, which featured multiple current Serbian national team players. After splitting two official matches, the team was invited to the U.S. Embassy and formally welcomed by Deputy Chief of Mission Alexander Titolo, marking a memorable cultural and athletic experience.

Neveh Yechiely ’26
Neveh Yechiely spent eight days in Athens, Greece, as part of the USA Futures Youth Team. Training at the iconic Vouliagmeni Nautical Club, Yechiely scrimmaged daily – including two matches against Greece’s U18 National Team as they prepared for the European Championships. The trip offered valuable experience at a high level of international play and allowed Yechiely to sharpen his game against some of the best youth players in Europe.

Grayson Shaw ’29
Freshman Grayson Shaw was selected to the USA Cadet National Team that competed at the 2025 U15 Pan American Championships in Bauru, Brazil. Shaw helped Team USA capture a silver medal, contributing a goal in a 15-8 win over Argentina and playing key minutes throughout the tournament. The U.S. finished 4-2 overall, earning wins against Canada, Puerto Rico, and Argentina before falling to host nation Brazil in the championship match. Shaw's performance at such a young age points to a bright future ahead.

As Brunswick continues to develop athletes who compete at the highest levels and collegiate programs across the country, this summer serves as a powerful reminder of the school's water polo program’s commitment to excellence – both in and out of the pool.
