Brunswick earned its first win of the season on Saturday with a 5–0 result at Frederick Gunn, turning in a complete performance across all phases of play.

Lincoln O’Donohue ’25 opened the scoring in the 9th minute, heading in a cross from Ferdi Hood ’27. The first half remained competitive, with Brunswick building through the midfield while Gunn looked to generate chances through long balls over the top, but the score stayed 1–0 at the break.

A halftime adjustment pushed John Guza ’26 into an advanced role, and the move paid off quickly. In the 49th minute, O’Donohue set up Guza for a composed finish past the keeper. Brunswick extended its lead in the 74th minute when a cross from Guza led to an own goal.

The advantage grew to 4–0 in the 78th minute after Guza forced a turnover from the Gunn goalkeeper, with Justo Iraola ’26 collecting the loose ball and finishing confidently from outside the box. O’Donohue and Guza connected once more in the 85th minute to close out the scoring.

The back line of Iraola, Ray Foley ’27, Declan Moran ’26, and Reehan Bhaskar ’28, along with goalkeeper Josh Katz ’25, secured Brunswick’s first shutout of the season. Katz recorded seven saves and played a key role in distribution. Foley and Moran cleared several dangerous chances through the middle, while Bhaskar and Iraola contributed both defensively and in transition.

Additional contributions came from Blake Levy ’26 and Keane Zorub ’26 in the midfield, while Henry Wise ’25 made his season debut with productive minutes up front.

Brunswick will host Kent next Saturday in its final home match before Homecoming weekend in late October.
