Degl '26 Wrestles to Prep All-American Status

Senior two-time co-captain Jack Degl '26 earned Prep All-American status with his podium finish at the 2026 National Prep Wrestling Championships held at Lehigh University.

After a win by major decision in the Round of 32 against a wrestler from Woodberry Forest School (VA), the #10 seeded Degl earned a key win in the Round of 16 over the #7 seed from Cornerstone Christian School (TX) by way of a 7-2 decision.

After a loss to the #2 seed in the Quarterfinals, Degl earned All-American status with his 4-2 win by decision against his opponent from Wyoming Seminary (PA) in the Round of 12 aka "The Blood Round."

With his eventual 8th place finish, Degl becomes the first Bruins’ placewinner at National Preps since 2021 (Nick Bell '21 and Chris Perry '21). Degl finishes his final season with a 33-5 record and an overall career total of 128 wins. The podium finish was his 19th tournament placement in a Brunswick singlet. Degl will continue his wrestling career next year at Williams College.
