Brunswick held on for a 10-7 victory over Avon Old Farms on Saturday, overcoming steady rain and strong winds in a game that made every possession count.

The Bruins played fast and physical, forcing turnovers and making Avon Old Farms work for every yard. Ryder Swenson delivered Brunswick’s touchdown on an interception return, while Madsen Ehrhart added a late interception to seal the game. Walker McClure and Oliver Caspi each recorded a fumble recovery. Harrison Hantman led the defense with 11 total tackles and a forced fumble, while James McGinty also recorded 11 tackles.

Despite the difficult conditions, quarterback Ben Rolapp threw for 205 yards. Noah Park caught six passes for 104 yards, Landon O’Hara added three catches for 62 yards, and Alex McCormack had two catches for 39 yards.

The hard-fought victory moves Brunswick to 2-0 on the season. The Bruins will travel to Suffield Academy next Saturday for the first road game of the season.
