Bruins Return to Win Column at Millbrook

Brunswick earned a 7–5 victory over Millbrook on Friday, scoring four runs in the top of the seventh to break a late tie.

The Bruins entered the final inning trailing 5–3 before rallying. Jayden Montanez drew a leadoff walk, followed by another free pass to Ty Ostrowski. Julian Dyson then laid down a sacrifice bunt to move both runners into scoring position. Jack Bylow delivered a double down the left field line to tie the game at five, and Steven Degree followed with a two-run single to give Brunswick the lead.

Reid Glanville got the start on the mound, allowing three runs (none earned) on three hits over four innings while striking out four and walking four. Dyson handled the fifth inning, and Ostrowski closed the game with two innings of shutout relief to earn the save, allowing just one hit while striking out two.

Brunswick totaled nine hits on the day, with Ostrowski and Montanez each recording two hits at the top of the lineup. Ostrowski finished 2-for-3 with a team-high three RBIs.

The Bruins will look to carry the momentum into Monday’s home game against Greens Farms Academy, with Johnny Gally slated to start on the mound.
