Bruins Capture 11th Consecutive NEPSAC Title

The Brunswick Bruins capped off their dominant season with a commanding 23–8 victory over Choate, securing their 11th consecutive NEPSAC Championship title.

The game opened with Brunswick’s starters setting an unmistakable tone. Neveh Yechiely ’26 broke the ice with a powerful opening goal, followed moments later by Peter Saunders ’27, who converted a steal into a counterattack finish. Jackson Shaw ’28 then took over, netting three goals in the first quarter, while Julio Ubina ’27 added one more to close it out. The Bruins ended the opening frame in full control, leading 7–1.

The second quarter saw the younger Bruins take the pool, but the offense hardly slowed. Crisp passing and unselfish play extended Brunswick’s lead to 15–4 by halftime. In the second half, a mix of lineups kept the tempo high as the Bruins continued to dominate both ends of the pool, maintaining their trademark defensive discipline and offensive creativity.

When the final buzzer sounded, Brunswick had not only sealed a 23–8 win but also extended its remarkable run of success — 11 straight NEPSAC titles. The victory was a fitting conclusion to a season defined by balance, depth, and teamwork.

A special congratulations goes out to the senior class for their leadership and contributions to the program’s continued excellence.
