Bruins Bounce Back, Double-Up GCDS

Brunswick defeated Greenwich Country Day School, 14–7, on Monday, bouncing back from Friday's defeat at Hopkins with a strong offensive performance.

Julian Dyson got the start on the mound, allowing five runs over three innings, while Ty Ostrowski, Jackson Cunningham, and Nick Stern combined for four solid innings in relief to secure the win.

The Bruins erupted for 16 hits, led by Jayden Montanez, who went 4-for-4 with a solo home run, a double, and two singles. Nate Cook also had a strong day, going 3-for-3 with three RBIs. Ostrowski, Jack Bylow, and Owen Bartoszek each added multiple hits, with Bartoszek also swiping two bases.

Brunswick jumped out early, scoring three runs in the first inning behind hits from Ostrowski and Cook. The Bruins added two more in the second before breaking the game open in the third with a five-run inning, highlighted by a two-run double from Andrew Gally.

Montanez capped the scoring with a solo home run in the sixth inning as Brunswick pulled away.

The Bruins return to action Wednesday with a road matchup against Greenwich Country Day School, with Teddy Bancroft set to take the mound.
