Bruins Win WNE Invitational in Convincing Fashion

The varsity golf team made its way to South Kent, Conn., on Wednesday to compete in the Western New England Prep Invitational at the celebrated Bull's Bridge Golf Club, emerging as the champion in the 18-school event.

Brunswick's top five players finished with a total score of 369 – nine over par and 15 shots better than its nearest competitor. The hilly course is a true test of a golfer's ability and the team came through with a powerful effort.

Will Harned, senior co-captain, was the medalist for the tournament, posting a 4 under par 68; he had six birdies in his round. Jack Chung '26 shot a 73 and took 5th place among the 108 participants; his back-to-back birdies on his final two holes proved pivotal in his successful round.

James O'Connor (senior co-captain) and Charlie Perkins '26 each carded a 75; they both had multiple birdies.  Sophomores Holden Vindiatis (78) and Henry Graham (80) completed the scoreline and played very respectable rounds on the difficult course.

The team's final event this season takes place on Monday for the FAA Championship at Tamarack CC.
