Three Brunswick soccer players were recently named regional all-stars. Senior Kyle Raker earned a place on both the WNEPSSA and NEPSSA teams, while classmate Henry Foster was selected for the WNEPSSA team and junior Ryan Chinai was picked for the NEPSSA team. The trio led the Bruins to a 9-7-1 record.
While Raker and Foster were selected to play in their respective all-star games, neither could attend.
During the regular season, Raker led the Bruins in goals with 11, as the forward notched two goals in a game on four separate occasions.
Foster, one of the captains of the team, was a defensive stalwart with a knack for netting penalty kicks this season. Foster owned a five-game streak of PK tallies, while finishing third on the team in goals with six.
Chinai, a selection for the recent NEPSSA Junior All-Star game, set-up the eventual game-winning goal on Sunday at Loomis Chaffee, as Chinai’s West team won, 2-0. For Brunswick, Chinai scored seven goals as a forward.
