Since the inaugural 2015-2016 season, the Brunswick Alpine Ski Team has continued to post very strong results on the slopes.
In 2021-22, the team finished second at the Connecticut Interscholastic Ski Association (CISL) State Championships in the Small (S) School category, while winning numerous regular season team and individual CISL races. Additionally, Brunswick ski racers took the top two podium spots at the New England Prep School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) Class B giant slalom championship race, as well as the sixth spot in the NEPSAC Class B slalom championship race. Finally, a Brunswick racer finished in the top 10 in the giant slalom race at the Eastern High School Championships.
The program is made up of experienced ski racers and expert skiers looking for an accelerated introduction to the sport of alpine racing.
During the ski season, weekly on-snow training will be scheduled, while dry-land training will be conducted at the King Street Campus. The team will travel to Mt. Southington for on-snow training and regular-season races.
As a member of both the CISL and the NEPSAC, racers will be eligible to qualify for both the Connecticut State Championships and the NEPSAC Championships. The top individual racers are also eligible to qualify for Team Connecticut, which travels to the Eastern High School Championships to compete against participants from as many as 15 other states.
