Since the inaugural 2015-2016 season, the Brunswick Alpine Ski Team has continued to post very strong results on the slopes.
In 2022-23, the team had its best season in program history, as the Bruins completed an undefeated regular season and captured both the Connecticut Interscholastic Ski Association (CISL) Class S (Small School) championship and the New England Prep School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) Class B championship. Brunswick alpine ski racers took three podium spots at the NEPSAC Class B GS and slalom championship races and placed four finalists in the top ten of each race.
Thanks to the success of the Brunswick ski team posted during the 2022 and 2023 seasons, the team has been promoted to NEPSAC Class A for the 2023-2024 season.
The program is made up of experienced ski racers and expert skiers looking for an accelerated introduction to the sport of alpine racing. During the ski season, weekly on-snow training is scheduled, while dry-land training is conducted at the King Street Campus. The team travels to Mt. Southington for on-snow training and regular-season races.
As a member of both CISL and NEPSAC, racers are eligible to qualify for both the Connecticut State Championships and the NEPSAC Championships. The top individual racers are also eligible to qualify for Team Connecticut, which travels to the Eastern High School Championships to compete against participants from as many as 15 other states.
