Brunswick squash owns a distinguished history since it officially became a varsity sport in 1973.
Ryan Abraham is the current varsity coach and director of racquet sports at Brunswick. Having arrived in 2015 from the Field Club of Greenwich, he began as assistant coach before taking over the helm from Jim Stephens, who retired in 2020 after leading the program to national prominence in his 35 years as head coach.
Brunswick has won five of the last six U.S. High School Team Squash Championships (2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020) and 18 New England titles in its history — and has also participated in the national finals on 13 different occasions since the tournament’s inception in 2004.
Many varsity players go on to play for top-ranked colleges and universities, including Harvard, Princeton, Yale, UPenn, UVA, and many others.
Additionally, Brunswick supports a competitive Middle School program that has won six national titles, as well as a deep JV team that caters to all levels.
Home matches are played at the nine-court Stephens Squash Center, which houses the Boynton Stadium Court.
