Math Team Ranks First in League for Year

The Upper School Math Team continues to excel, finishing first in the Fairfield County Math League this year after winning every match of its six-match season and earning 598 points overall.

New Canaan High School took second for the year with 435 points, while Greenwich High was a close third with 433 points.

The Fairfield County Math League has 29 public and private school teams which compete once a month in a season that begins in October.

Brunswick won every one of the six matches this year.

The A-team won its March 6 match with 97 points, with New Canaan High coming second with 82. As well, two sophomores, Vikram Sarkar ’26 and Jack Whitney-Epstein ’26, earned perfect scores of 18 out of 18, while ’Wick’s strong B1 team got 63 points, which would have placed it 6th in the A-team league.

Aside from Sarkar and Whitney-Epstein, the A-team this month included Ajay Bagaria ’24, Thomas Ewald ’24, Jeremy Lee ’25, and Andrew Tu ’24.
