Wick JV1 Routs GFA 5-0 on Caputo Field

Thirty seconds off the first whistle, we went ahead 1-0. Blake Levy played a perfectly weighted ball into the box to have Johnny Backx finish one time to the left of the keeper. Approximately 10 minutes later, Chase Nook received a throw-in and turned towards the goal to slot a ball to Gianfranco Fajardo. Fajardo took the ball across the 18 and hit a curling, dipping ball into the far side netting. We went into halftime up 2-0.

 

It took us a while to get going again, but halfway into the second half, John Guza scored off of an assist from Luke Martinez. Guza then scored another as he took on four different defenders and left them in his wake on his way to the goal. To finish off the scoring, Theron Case sent a ball into the box that rolled to the opposite side of the 6, where Max Stabinsky finished with his left foot. Our defense played a hell of a game to keep Michael Attubato bored in goal.
