Brunswick brought five rowers to race single sculls at the Head of the Riverfront Regatta on the Connecticut River in Hartford on Sunday.
Amongst a deep field of 49 'Mens Junior' scullers, Mark Kakoma '24 finished the 3000m upstream race with the fastest time of the day -- faster than any men in the 'Open' or 'Masters' categories; however, Kakoma was penalized 20 seconds for one missed buoy, putting him into bronze medal position.
Additionally, the other four Brunswick rowers all finished in the top half of the highly competitive field: Reed Eddy '25 ~ 11th; George Kapp '26 ~ 15th, Henry Andren ~ 19th, and Jack McEntire '25 ~ 24th.
