Four Brunswick water polo players — Will Marvin, Thacher Scannell, Charlie Pang, and Simon Derby — were recognized by the NEPSAC as All-New England honorees.
Marvin, Scannell, and Pang were first-team selections, while Simon Derby was a second-team choice. The quartet helped the Bruins (21-1) win their third consecutive NEPSAC Championship at the Liquid Four this past November.
Pang, no stranger to the All-New England team, picked up his third first-team All-NEPSAC award as a goalie. The senior co-captain was the last line of a stellar defense for the Bruins, consistently making the impossible save look routine.
Scannell earned his second first-team All-New England honor following an excellent season with a team-best 45 steals and 26 goals for the Bruins. The junior also picked up the Liquid Four Tournament MVP in 2016.
Marvin garnered his first-team All-New England selection by collecting 67 goals and 11 steals. The senior co-captain is a two-time all-tournament choice at the Liquid Four, earning a spot in 2015 as well.
Derby, an All-New England pick in 2015, collected a second-team spot this year. The junior netted 28 goals and made 18 steals during Brunswick’s championship run.
