The Bruins took care of business once again on Tuesday afternoon, as they surpassed Greens Farms Academy by the score of 14-6 at Edwards Campus.
Jackson Shepelsky got the start in the first FAA matchup of this young season. He gave the Bruins three and two thirds innings of solid work and held the Dragons to three runs. Freshman Ty Ostrowski came in to relieve Shepelsky and gave the Bruins an excellent one and a third inning as well. Senior Jerry Guzman then came in and shut the door with two innings of his own.
The bats came back to life on this day, as the Bruins had double-digit hits, pushing the score to an impressive 14 runs. Just about everyone contributed to the offensive surge. Some notables include the following: Carlo Tucci, who started the offense off with a two RBI double in the second inning; Shepelsky, who had two impactful hits with two RBIs; and Wim Nook, who had two hits that led to big innings.
The team heads on the road for its next matchup and is set to take on GCDS on Thursday. Calder Glassman will be on the mound in what will be his first start as a Bruin.
