'Wick Skiers Place Third at State Open

The Brunswick alpine ski team placed third in the 2024 Boys State Open at Mount Southington on Thursday evening.

The Bruins were led by their co-captains, juniors Patch Leonard and Ollie Leonard, who both made the podium in second and sixth place, respectively.

Other key finishes were turned in by junior Ryan Warner, sophomore Teddy Bancroft, and freshman Teddy Hojlo.

Kudos also go to sophomore Henry Ginnel, who played an important role and showed dedication to the team by coming straight to Mount Southington from his Vermont trip.

All Brunswick athletes gave strong performances in a large field of 136 competitors.
