Brunswick honored its 14 seniors prior to Friday's game against Trinity-Pawling – and ultimately gave this special and very accomplished class a fitting regular-season send-off with a 6-1 win against the Pride.
The win was the 26th of the season for the Bruins, tying the 2014-2015 team that also notched the same number in Division I NEPSAC play. (No disrespect to that squad – captained by Tommy Dunleavy and Michael Faulkner – but the schedule has become a tad tougher since those days.)
Seniors Sean Gibbons, Ryan Wachtel (2), Brendan Giles, and Jake Minella – as well as junior Tucker Spiess – scored the 'Wick goals, while seniors Carter Hall, Luke Drury, Charlie Vincent, and Casey Quinson got on the sheet with assists. (As did junior d-man Luke Hall.)
Seniors Connor Choy, Connor Crosby, Carter Grimes, Luc Lampert, and Cooper Cleaves were also key cogs in the Bruins' victory – as was senior goaltender Will Baker, who made 22 saves to secure the W.
As of this writing, Brunswick is the No. 2 seed in the Elite 8, as KUA was upset in other action tonight.
Playoff seedings, brackets, and locations will become official on Sunday.
