Brunswick placed in the top 20, among 200 schools competing worldwide, in the American Computer Science League (ACSL), a computer science and computer programming contest for junior and senior high school students.
’Wick’s team — comprised of senior classmates Alex Gibbons, Andrew Israel, Alex Kutner, and Andrew Rogozinski — participated at the highest level of competition (Senior 5) in its inaugural year as a member of the ACSL, with top honors going to schools from Romania, Croatia, and China.
“These boys are among our best and brightest, and hold great promise of distinguishing themselves further in computer science, in college and beyond, as they absolutely love the challenge of problem-solving inherent in this field,” said AP Computer Science and Math teacher Poonam Gupta.
