Boys & Girls Club Recognizes ‘Education Volunteers’

Brunswick received the Lillian Butler Davey Education Volunteer Award — along with a citation from the Connecticut General Assembly — for its longstanding service and commitment to the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich.
 
Upper School student volunteers have visited the Boys & Girls Club on a weekly basis for the past five years — mentoring, tutoring, and offering a helping hand to the young boys and girls of the program.
 
“To receive a commendation from such a pillar of excellence like the Boys & Girls Club is very special,” said Johnny Montanez, Brunswick’s director of community service.
 
“It’s great for our boys to see what kind of a difference they are making throughout our local community.”
