Brunswick Hoops Earns Sportsmanship Award

For the third time in five years, Brunswick received the Harold Swaffield Sportsmanship Award in basketball. The award is reserved for six teams each year, three boys and three girls, that demonstrate the best level of sportsmanship on the court and in the stands during the season.

 

After each basketball game, officials from the IAABO rate each team, the coaches, and fans. Following the season, the officials across Fairfield County vote for the winner of the award, named after Mr. Swaffield, a former principal of Roger Ludlowe High School.
