The heralded Brunswick squash program is poised for another prosperous campaign in 2015-16. Last season’s Varsity “A” squad won the FAA league title, the New England Championship, and, for the first time ever, the coveted National High School Championship.
Head coach Jim Stephens, entering his 30th season at the helm, owns a 375-67 record. Last season, U.S. Squash, the national organization overseeing the sport, tabbed Stephens as its National Coach of the Year.
Returning to the home courts named after Stephens are two-time all-American and co-captain David Yacobucci ’16 at the number one slot, along with classmate and co-captain Drew Monroe. Additionally, junior Tyler Carney returns with a wealth of championship experience to the Bruins.
The Bruins' schedule is peppered with premier programs within the FAA, as well as elite NEISA programs across New England.
The regular season begins on Wednesday, December 9, as the Bruins visit FAA foe Rye Country Day.
