Squash Knocks off #1-ranked Avon
The Brunswick squash team remained undefeated with a 4–3 win against Avon Old Farms on Saturday.
The Winged Beavers, the defending national champions, entered the match as the No. 1-ranked high school team in the nation.
Brunswick received 3–0 victories from Yousef Hindy ’15, John Fitzgerald ’15, Tyler Carney ’17, and Drew Monroe ’16 at numbers 4–7, respectively.
David Yacobucci ’16 lost to Avon's Omar El Armas — the No. 2 player in the world — 11–6, 11–1, 11–5.
The Bruins, now 4–0, will play a home match against Choate on Wednesday.
